Austrian law applies. The German version is legally binding.
Protecting your personal data is important to us. We therefore process your data solely on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act). In this privacy notice we inform you about the main aspects of data processing in connection with our website.
Technical status, subject to legal review: This text describes the current Next.js site of FREUDENHAUS RENT. It replaces outdated notices from the former WordPress website and is not legal advice.
Contacting us
If you contact us via a form on the website or by email, we use your details to handle the enquiry. Contact, ski-service and boot-fitting forms are sent by transactional email via Scaleway (Paris region) to [email protected]. The sender is [email protected]; replies go via Reply-To to [email protected]. You receive a confirmation at the email address you provided. Data are not stored in a separate CMS or customer account as a result of this.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter in the footer, we send your email address to Klaviyo (Klaviyo Inc., USA), the same account as the FREUDENHAUS shop. Sign-up may require confirmation by email (double opt-in). The legal basis is your consent by submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe via the link in every newsletter email or by writing to us. Analytics only receives the generate_lead event without the email address, and only after cookie consent for the Analytics category.
Cookies and consent
Necessary cookies or local storage are used to remember your cookie choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only if you agree in the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Categories:
- Necessary: storing consent, operating the website.
- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager.
- Marketing: Google Ads (conversion and remarketing measurement) via the same Tag Manager.
Without consent, analytics and marketing storage stay off. Google Consent Mode v2 may then model cookieless signals without setting marketing cookies.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland / Google LLC, USA) to manage analytics and marketing tags centrally. The Tag Manager itself does not set its own marketing cookies in our configuration; the services it fires do so only after consent.
Google Analytics 4
After consent for the Analytics category we use Google Analytics 4. Cookies may be set and usage data (e.g. page views, approximate region, device, clicks, funnel steps) transferred to Google. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, messages or booking references to Analytics.
Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Retention in Google Analytics is 14 months. There is a data-processing agreement with Google. Transfers to the USA may take place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary measures.

Google Ads
After consent for the Marketing category we measure campaign results and remarketing with Google Ads (conversion ID 927797648). Conversion cookies may be set and ads shown based on previous visits. Purchases are sent via the Rentbuddy booking flow as a conversion with transaction ID, value and currency — without personal form data from our website.
Online booking via Rentbuddy
Rental booking runs on the separate domain freudenhaus.rentbuddy.solutions (provider Rentbuddy). When you switch, campaign parameters (e.g. gclid, UTM) may be passed so bookings stay attributed to the same session. Data processing on Rentbuddy is governed by Rentbuddy’s notices and consent there; we have no access to the source code of that booking flow.
Maps
The location overview on our website uses MapLibre with map tiles from CARTO / OpenStreetMap. Links to Google Maps open Google’s service in a new tab. No Google Maps API embed is loaded on our site.
Fonts
We use the Urbanist typeface locally (self-hosted). No Google Fonts are loaded from Google’s servers.
Instagram and external links
Links to Instagram, the FREUDENHAUS shop and other third parties lead to their websites. Their privacy notices apply when you visit them. We do not embed social plugins, YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook widgets.
Your rights
You generally have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal and objection. If you believe the processing of your data breaches data-protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
