For the right binding setting we need height, weight, boot size and your skiing level. Also bring your online booking confirmation — then pick-up is done in no time.

Yes. After booking online you can pick up your gear from 15:00 the day before. So on day one you're straight on the lift. The shops are all central in Obertauern.

You reserve online with no obligation and pay on site at pick-up. You stay flexible and still lock in the early-bird perk.

Yes. You can also walk in and rent on the spot. Booking online gets you the early-bird discount, your preferred ski and a hassle-free pick-up.

Yes. With our early-bird offer you get 20 % off when you book online at least 60 days before rental start. Up to one day before arrival it's still 10 %. You'll find all rates on the Prices page.

Yes. From 12:00 the fixed half-day price from the price list applies.

Yes. For 7 days you only pay 6 — day seven is free. From day eight every extra day is especially cheap.

Yes. For groups of 20 or more, best use the Group enquiry.

Yes. When two adults rent skis or boards, the full kids' kit is free. That's our Family Bonus.

Kids and teens have their own price bands for skis, snowboards, boots and helmets. When two adults rent, the full kids' kit is free. Helmets are free for anyone under 16.

Tell us your level, from first turns to carving, and we'll recommend the right tier: Platinum for max performance, Gold as the all-rounder, Silver for easy cruising. We'll advise you in person at pick-up.

Yes. If the boot pinches or the ski isn't right for your day, just drop in. We'll adjust or swap until it fits.

Yes, in our own workshop. Edge grind, base, hot wax and binding check — overnight and slope-ready in the morning. All about Ski service.

Yes. Alongside skis and snowboards you can also add a sledge or snowshoes as extras at the daily rate.

Yes. With Test & Buy you try different skis on the slopes. If you buy, we credit up to two rental days. You buy in the FREUDENHAUS Shop.

No, we don't rent clothing. In the FREUDENHAUS Shop you'll find a wide range of quality ski wear to buy.

You can add a helmet cheaply — it's free for anyone under 16. We recommend one for everyone. Safety first.

Season start 2026/27: main shop and Schaidberg from 20 November 2026, Edelweiss, Places Hotel and Kohlmayr from 26 November 2026. After that our five shops are open daily, the main shop until 18:30. You'll see the live status of each shop on the Locations page.

Yes, optional per day. The price depends on category: Platinum ski €5, Gold ski €4, Silver ski €3, snowboard €4 per day. Without insurance you cover damage or loss yourself.
