Frequent questions on service
Do the edge test: drag a fingernail across the steel edge. If it catches, the edge is sharp. If it slides through, it's service time. Extra effort on flats or chatter on hard snow are signs too. Rule of thumb: after 8 to 10 ski days at the latest.
Basic is the essential care: edge grind, structure and wax. Top also repairs the base. Race adds an 87° race grind and a special race structure for max precision. V-Edge adds a variable edge angle to any level.
Wax waterproofs the base, protects against oxidation and improves glide. A dry, grey base slows you down and costs extra effort.
